Our Story

A long way roundto the same place.

It began the way the best things do — without ceremony. A borrowed table, a conversation that ran past closing, and the particular quiet of two people realizing they were in no hurry to leave.

What followed were the small accumulations: the drive out to the hill country with the windows down, the standing Sunday breakfast, the dog neither of us meant to adopt. Years of ordinary evenings that turned out to be the whole point.

In the spring of 2027 we'll gather the people who made us, under Texas live oaks, and make the quiet promise out loud.

Anything you need to know

If we have missed something, ask — there is no question too small, and we would far rather answer it now than have you wondering on the day.

Your presence, first

Nothing is expected. You crossing the state — or the country — to stand with us on a Saturday in April is the gift. For those who've asked, we've kept a short list of things for the house we're building together.
